June 24, 2016

On June 24, the European Union published MRL amendments affecting the following active ingredients:

  • Reg. (EU) 2016/1002: AMTT, diquat, dodine, glufosinate, tritosulfuron
  • Reg. (EU) 2016/1003: abamectin, acequinocyl, acetamiprid, benzovindiflupyr, bromoxynil, fludioxonil, fluopicolide, fosetyl, mepiquat, proquinazid, propamocarb, prohexadione, tebuconazole

Amended MRLs from Reg. (EU) 2016/1002 go into effect on January 14, 2017. Amended MRLs from Reg. (EU) 2016/1003 go into effect on July 16, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will be entered in the Global MRL Database in the next week.

March 17, 2016

On March 17, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of MRLs for proquinazid in apples, pears, and animal commodities.

The European Union's proquinazid MRLs currently display in the Global MRL Database.

November 4, 2015

On November 3, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing MRLs for proquinazid in currants and gooseberries.

October 21, 2014

On October 21, the Australia Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 21 – 21 October 2014. Pages 10-12 of the gazette list proposed amendments to MRLs on various commodities. Pages 17-18 of outline established MRLs for several pesticides on various commodities, amending Australia's Standard 1.4.2.

Comments on proposed MRLs must be submitted by November 18, 2014, and relevant established MRLs will be reflected in MRL Database

August 14, 2014

On August 14, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of the following pesticide amendments:

These MRL amendments were officially adopted on August 9, 2014. Individual changes may be viewed in the WTO notices linked above, and relevant changes will be made to the MRL Database

May 12, 2014

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently proposed MRLs for the following pesticides: 

PMRA will accept comments on this consultation until July 26, 2014.

April 4, 2014

This week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established MRLs for the active ingredients clomazone, propiconazole, forchlorfenuron, metaflumizone, proquinazid, imazapic, and thiram. Objections and requests for hearings must be received by June 2, 2014 for clomazone, propiconazole, and forchlorfenuron; and by June 3, 2014 for metaflumizone, proquinazid, imazapic, and thiram.

Relevant changes will appear in early next week.
