February 21, 2017

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for multiple active ingredients, including the following:

Individual changes may be viewed in the WTO notices. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on February 22, 2017. 

January 23, 2017

On January 23, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) opened a public consultation on the active substance quinoxyfen. Comments on the rapporteur Member State's assessment reports must be sent to EFSA by March 25, 2017.

The European Union's current quinoxyfen MRLs display in the Global MRL Database.

November 17, 2016

On November 16, Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for the active ingredients teflubenzuron, quinoxyfen, and chlorantraniliprole.

PMRA will accept comments on the proposed MRLs through January 30, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on November 18, 2016.

August 27, 2014

On August 26, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority published Gazette No. APVMA 17. The gazette contains variations to Standards 1.4.2 of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, Australia's international MRL regulation.

MRL changes are made for blueberries, pulses, potato, rape seed, strawberry, celery, poppy seed, and animal products.

Relevant changes will appear in tomorrow.

January 22, 2014

On January 21, the European Union published MRL amendments Commission Regulation (EU) No 36/2014 and Commission Regulation (EU) No 51/2014 in the EU Official Journal. These regulations revise MRLs for aminopyralid, chlorantraniliprole, cyflufenamid, mepiquat, metalaxyl-M, propamocarb, pyriofenone, quinoxyfen, dimethomorph, indoxacarb, and pyraclostrobin.

MRL revisions were made to address new and changed uses. Commission Regulation (EU) No 36/2014 will enter into force 20 days after the date of publication. Commission Regulation (EU) No 51/2014 will enter into force on February 2, 2014.

Relevant changes will appear in after these regulations are in effect.

September 30, 2013

On September 27, 2013, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) published Proposed Maximum Residue Limit PMRL2013-76 announcing draft MRLs for the active ingredient quinoxyfen. PMRA will accept comments submitted by December 11.

September 19, 2013

On September 18, the US EPA established MRLs for chlorantraniliprole and quinoxyfen. Objections and requests for hearings for each of these changes must be received on or before November 18, 2013.
