November 16, 2018

On November 16, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published reasoned opinions on the evaluation of confirmatory data following the Article 12 MRL review of picolinafen and the review of the existing MRLs for tau-fluvalinate according to Article 12.

Relevant proposed MRLs from these reasoned opinions will be available in the Global MRL Database on November 17, 2018.

October 2, 2017

On October 2, the European Union published Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/1777 amending MRLs for Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain FZB24, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain MBI 600, clayed charcoal, dichlorprop-P, ethephon, etridiazole, flonicamid, fluazifop-P, hydrogen peroxide, metaldehyde, penconazole, spinetoram, tau-fluvalinate and Urtica spp. in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect October 22, 2017. Relevant pending MRL changes will display in the Global MRL Database on October 2, 2017.

May 16, 2017

On May 15, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published the following reasoned opinions on bromadiolone and tau-fluvalinate:

December 6, 2016

On December 5, the U.S. EPA established tolerances for residues of oxathiapiprolin and tau-fluvalinate in or on multiple commodities.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by February 3, 2017. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on December 5, 2016.

February 3, 2014

On January 31, 2014, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published Modification of the existing MRLs for tau-fluvalinate in various crops.

August 29, 2013

New Zealand's Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) recently published an MRL proposal. The draft document, Proposals to Amend the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards 2013, contains MRLs for chlorantraniliprole, isopyrazam, spirotetramat, sulfoxaflor, tau-fluvalinate, and thiamethoxam. The chemical formic acid is proposed to be exempt from the requirement of a tolerance.

MPI is accepting comments on this proposal through October 7.

June 17, 2013

June 4, 2013, Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) amended their Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods. New and revised MRLs are established for the active ingredients clothianidin, cyazofamid, cyhalothrin, deltamethrin, tau-fluvalinate, imidacloprid, methomyl, methoxyfenozide, and oxydemeton-methyl. Specific MRL changes are available here.
