On November 13, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing to revise the monographs for mancozeb, thifluzamide, Amblyseius tamatavensis, glufosinate, fenpropathrin, copper compounds, cyantraniliprole, bifenthrin, sulfur, and acetamiprid (links in Portuguese).

Comments are due by January 11, 2020. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on November 15, 2019.

On November 12, Chile’s Ministry of Health published an amendment (in Spanish) concerning food additives to Reglamento Sanitario de los Alimentos No. 977/96. The amendment is effective from May 12, 2020. 

The BCGlobal Food Additive Database, which includes Chile’s food additive regulations in English, will be updated to reflect the relevant changes upon the effective date. If you are interested in subscribing, please contact BCI.

This week, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments to the monographs for glyphosate, dicamba, potassium bicarbonate, thiodicarb, ethiprole, lufenuron, carboxin, thiram, chlorothalonil, trifluralin, cyproconazole, glufosinate, and fipronil (links in Portuguese).

Updated MRLs from these amendments will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database by October 14, 2019.

On October 30, Denmark's Høringsportalen posted a draft MRL amendment under consideration by the European Union's Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed. The draft amendment, SANTE/12090/2019, includes proposed MRLs for cyantraniliprole, cyazofamide, cyprodinil, fenpyroximate, fludioxonil, fluxapyroxad, imazalil, isofetamide, kresoxim-methyl, lufenuron, mandipropamide, pyriofenone, pyriproxyfen, propamocarb hydrochloride, pyraclostrobin, and spinetoram.  

Relevant proposed MRLs will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on November 13, 2019.

On November 7, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published trade advise notices concerning flubendazole and fluralaner in or on various commodities.

Recently, Mexico’s Federal Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS) published an amendment to Annex VI of its food additive regulations. It is effective October 10, 2019. 

The BCGlobal Food Additive Database includes the regulations for Mexico, in English, though enzymes typically fall outside the scope of the database. If you are interested in subscribing, please contact BCI.
