On September 19, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments to the monographs for prohexadione calcium, quizalofop-P-ethyl, teflubenzuron, flupyradifurone, and alpha cypermethrin (link in Portuguese).

Updated MRLs from these amendments will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on September 20, 2019.

On September 17, the European Union notified the WTO of the following MRL proposals:

  • G/SPS/N/EU/347: Draft Commission Regulation amending Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for myclobutanil, napropamide and sintofen in or on certain products.
  • G/SPS/N/EU/348: Draft Commission Regulation amending Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for chromafenozide, fluometuron, pencycuron, sedaxane, tau-fluvalinate and triazoxide in or on certain products.

The proposed MRLs from these WTO notifications will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on September 19, 2019.

On September 18, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing to revise the monographs for ethiprole, fipronil, trifluralin, fenpropathrin, epoxiconazole, spiromesifen, kinetin, gibberellic acid, indolylbutyric acid, and fluensulfone (links in Portuguese).

Comments are due by November 4, 2019. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on September 19, 2019.

On September 17, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published reasoned opinions on the modification of the existing MRLs for fludioxonil in rhubarbs and on the evaluation of confirmatory data following the Article 12 review of fludioxonil and fluroxypyr.

The proposed MRLs from these reasoned opinions will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on September 18, 2019.

On September 17, the European Union published Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1559 amending MRLs for cyflufenamid, fenbuconazole, fluquinconazole, and tembotrione in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs will be effective from April 7, 2020. Relevant pending MRL changes will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on September 18, 2019.

On September 13, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published reasoned opinions on the modification of the existing MRLs for cyprodinil in rhubarbs and on the review of the existing MRLs for pyridalyl according to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005.

The proposed MRLs from these reasoned opinions will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on September 14, 2019.

On September 11, Denmark's Høringsportalen posted a draft MRL amendment under consideration by the European Union's Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed. The draft amendment, SANTE/11822/2019, includes proposed MRLs for acequinocyl, acibenzolar-S-methyl, emamectin, flonicamid, flutolanil, fosetyl-Al, imazamox, and oxathiapiprolin. 

Relevant proposed MRLs will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on September 12, 2019.
