On December 1, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published APVMA Gazette No. 24, 1 December 2020. Pages 22-26 of the gazette list draft MRLs and pages 28-31 list amendments to MRLs for pesticides in or on various commodities.

Relevant proposed and amended MRLs will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database  and the BCGlobal Veterinary Drug MRL Database on December 4, 2020.

On December 3, Egypt's National Food Safety Authority notified the WTO of a new food additive regulation.

On December 3, the European Union published Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/1819 amending its food additive regulations. The amendment will apply from December 23, 2020.

Recently, the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service published a Food and Agricultural Regulations and Standards (FAIRS) report for The Gambia.

The European Union recently published SANTE/12108/2020 Rev. 0 proposing MRLs for amisulbrom, flubendiamide, meptyldinocap, metaflumizone, and propineb.

On November 26, Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) published Notice No. 2020-114 (link in Korean) revising their food regulations, including numerous pesticide MRL changes.

MRL changes from this amendment will be added to the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database by December 3, 2020.

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for acephate and methamidophos, phosphine, difenoconazole, cyflufenamid, and fenpyroximate.

Relevant amended MRLs will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on December 2, 2020.

On December 1, Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety published an amendment, in Korean, to the Korean Food Additives Code. The amendment is effective from January 1, 2022.

The BCGlobal Food Additive Database, which includes Korea's food additive regulations in English, will be updated upon the effective date of the amendment to reflect all relevant changes. If you are interested in subscribing, please contact BCI for more information.

On November 30, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments to the monographs for lufenuron, fluroxypyr-meptyl, chlorfluazuron, azoxystrobin, chlorantraniliprole, mancozeb, and tolfenpyrad (links in Portuguese).

Relevant MRLs from these amendments will be added to the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database by December 1, 2020.

On November 25, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for sulfentrazoneindaziflam, and pydiflumetofen.

Comments are due by February 8, 2021. The proposed MRLs will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database early next week.
