Canada Amends Food Additive Regulations
On August 10, Health Canada published an amendment regarding the use of methyl-p-hydroxybenzoate (methylparaben), propyl-p-hydroxybenzoate (propylparaben), and their sodium salts (sodium salt of methyl-p-hydroxybenzoic acid and sodium salt of propyl-p-hydroxybenzoic acid). The amendment modifies the List of Permitted Preservatives.
