On August 31, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India published an amendment (English-language version begins on page 2) to their food additive regulations regarding infant foods. The amendment is effective from October 1, 2022.

On August 24, the United States Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau published an amendment to its regulations regarding the production of wine and juice from which wine is made. The amendment was notified to the WTO on August 26. The amendment is effective from August 24, 2022.

On August 22, Chile’s Ministry of Health opened a public consultation (in Spanish) on a proposed amendment (amendment and additives list, in Spanish) to its food additive regulations. Comments are due by November 30, 2022.

The 2021 revision of the Codex General Standard for Food Additives - Codex Stan 192-1995 (GSFA) has been published, incorporating changes adopted at this year's meeting of the Codex Alimentarius Commission.

On August 17, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published an amendment concerning multiple food additive regulations. The amendment is available in Portuguese and is effective September 1, 2022.
