Israel Publishes Food Additive Amendment
Recently, Israel’s Ministry of Health published food additive amendments for additives for alcoholic beverages (277471620 and 274625920); hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (E464); starch sodium octenyl succinate (E1450); carnauba wax (E903); and additive deletions for octyl gallate (E311), dodecyl gallate (E312), calcium aluminium (E556), aluminium silicate - kaolin (E559), and montan acid esters (E912). The amendments for E464, E1450, and E903 are effective from July 23, 2020. The amendments regarding additives in alcohol are effective from August 1, 2020. The amendments deleting additive permissions are effective July 1, 2021.
